Momentum is built with local-first storage. For free users, all habits, streaks, and analytics are stored directly on your physical device. We have no access to your database unless you explicitly subscribe to cloud sync services.
1. Information We Collect
We only collect the absolute minimum data necessary to run, optimize, and secure the Momentum app experience.

2. How We Use Your Information
We use the data collected strictly for the following purposes:
- Habit Checklists & Streaks: To build your daily lists, streaks, and charts.
- Premium Sync: To synchronise active habits across multiple Apple devices.
- Performance Optimization: Anonymous usage telemetry allows us to track performance statistics and prevent app crashes.
- Support Requests: To respond to messages or feedback queries sent directly by you.
3. Data Storage & Security
For Free users, your data is written locally on your device via SQLite and remains entirely private under your phone OS sandbox security.
For Premium sync users, your data is sent via secure transport layer channels (TLS 1.2+) and stored inside an encrypted AWS PostgreSQL database in the Asia-Pacific (Sydney) region. We isolate cloud environments and verify all access with scoped, temporary AWS IAM credentials.
4. Third-Party Services
Momentum integrates with verified partners to process accounts and purchases securely:
- AWS Cognito: Manages signup credentials, tokens, and credentials authorization.
- RevenueCat: Standardized library for managing subscriptions and verifying status in compliance with Apple requirements.
- Apple App Store: Safe transaction processing for all in-app purchases.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, license, or barter your habit data or account details to third parties. We do not participate in targeted ad tracking networks. Your database logs are only shared with AWS or RevenueCat as needed to provide cloud hosting and billing verification.
6. Data Deletion
You have full control over your habit history and account details at all times.
- Free Users: Simply uninstalling the app deletes all SQLite database logs from your iOS device storage.
- Premium Users: You can request complete cloud account deletion directly from the Profile tab in the app or by sending an email request. We will delete all synced habits and identity tokens within 30 days.
7. Children's Privacy
While Momentum's habit-tracking features are family-friendly and completely safe for all ages, the app's online services (such as cloud sync) are not directed at or designed to collect personal information from children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect or sync personal details (such as email addresses) from children under 13. If you suspect a child has registered a cloud account, notify us immediately for swift account deletion.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may make minor changes to this policy to align with new features. Any updates will update the "Last updated" timestamp at the top of this page. Your continued usage of the application confirms your acceptance of any revisions.
